Our History, Our Roots
Dixie Distributors preceded
the Victor L. Robilio Co., Inc. and was started in 1943 by Harry Kabakoff. Victor L. Robilio, Sr. joined Kabakoff as
a partner in 1950 at Dixie Distributors. In 1960 Victor, Sr. exercised his option to purchase Kabakoff's share and thus
became the sole owner of this concern. Thereupon, he created the Victor L. Robilio Company in that same year. Victor
L. Robilio, Jr. accepted the invitation of his father and joined the company in 1961. 1972 witnessed the incorporation
of the Victor L. Robilio Company. John R.S. Robilio, the youngest son of Victor, Sr., started working for the family
business in 1979. Cecilia Ann Robilio, daughter of Victor, Jr., affiliated with the company in 1985.
Upon the death of her husband
in 1986, Cecilia Robertson Robilio assumed the position of Chairperson of the Board of Directors. When Mrs. Robilio
died in 2000, the company remained in the family and is now owned by her two sons, Victor, Jr. and John R.S. Robilio.
