Our History,
Our Roots
Dixie
Distributors preceded the Victor L. Robilio Co., Inc. and was started in 1943 by Harry Kabakoff. Victor L. Robilio,
Sr. joined Kabakoff as a partner in 1950 at Dixie Distributors. In 1960 Victor, Sr. exercised his option to purchase
Kabakoff's share and thus became the sole owner of this concern. Thereupon, he created the Victor L. Robilio Company
in that same year. Victor L. Robilio, Jr. accepted the invitation of his father and joined the company in 1961. 1972
witnessed the incorporation of the Victor L. Robilio Company. John R.S. Robilio, the youngest son of Victor, Sr., started
working for the family business in 1979.
Upon the death of her husband in 1986, Cecilia Robertson Robilio assumed the position of
Chairperson of the Board of Directors. When Mrs. Robilio died in 2000, the company remained in the family and was run
by her two sons, Victor, Jr. and John R.S. Robilio. In 2011, the company was acquired by Glazer's Distributors out
of Dallas, TX.
The Victor L. Robilio Co., Inc. is one of the largest importers of wine and specialty items in the Mid-South. Primarily,
our company is a wholesaler and importer of wines and spirits. We buy wines directly from manufacturers in Europe and
America. As for nonalcoholic products, our firm distributes products such as Whiskey Willy's Bloody Mary Mix
and D.J. Dotson Triple Sec.
We believe in representing products of the highest quality and we market them with persistence, good service and
an attitude of pride. Many of our staff members have been with us for more than twenty-five years. The Robilio family
intends to perpetuate its growth throughout the 21st century.
